The tour of Tumpak Sewu Bromo Ijen Tour 3 Days is a tour package which invites you to explore three well-known spot in Indonesia even in the world, Mount Bromo, Ijen crater and Tumpak Sewu waterfalls. They are all located in East Java with different cities. To reach them, we have to drive minimally 2 hours from the big cities such as Malang and Surabaya.

This tour is a natural tour spot to see an active volcano like Bromo and Ijen crater and to explore the amazing waterfalls called Tumpak Sewu which needs 30 minutes trekking down to reach the falls. It needs 3 days to complete and It can start from Surabaya or Malang city.

Detail itinerary of Tumpak Sewu Bromo Ijen Tour 3 Days

1st Day : Malang/Surabaya – Tumpak Sewu Waterfalls Tour

At 07.00 a.m our team will pick you up at Surabaya/Malang and proceed the journey to Tumpak Sewu waterfalls. It is better to pick you up at your hotel in Malang, since the distance is only two hours driving from Malang city.
Arrive at Tumpak Sewu parking area, you continue trekking down with local guide to panorama view point and then trek down for about 30 minutes to reach the main waterfalls.
Enjoy the view and get some pictures. After you have finished, go back to parking area and continue the tour to your hotel in Bromo area.
The journey from Tumpak Sewu to Bromo area is about 4-5 hours (include the stop for lunch). When you reach your hotel, check in and rest.

2nd Day : Bromo Sunrise Tour – Bromo Crater – Hotel in Ijen

AT 02.30 the Jeep Driver will Pick you up from hotel and continue towards Penanjakan 1 or Kingkong Hill To see sunrise. It will take 45 minutes to get there. After you arrive at the place, wait for the sunrise view and take some pictures.
After enjoy sunrise and the Bromo caldera view, go back to your Jeep and continue towards Bromo Crater. To get to Bromo crater You can do Soft Trekking from parking area, or you can rent a horse.
Enjoy the view on the top of mount Bromo, Afterwards, back to hotel for breakfast and packing up to go to your hotel in Ijen area. It will take around 3-4 hours to get to your hotel.

3rd Day : Ijen Tour – Drop Off

At 00.00 midnight our driver will wake you up and at 00.00 midnight he will take you to the Paltuding post (Paltuding is the initial location of climbing to the top of ijen). It will take about two hours drive to get there.
When arrived there, prepare anything for the trekking (the jacket, shoes, water etc). And at 02.00 a.m you start to walk or climb to the summit about 2 hours to reach the top. After you reach the top (if you need to see the blue fire) you still need to trek down for 30 minutes to the crater/lake and go up again to see the sunrise view.
Enjoy the beauty of Ijen Crater, the blue fire and the sunrise view. After satisfied enjoying the scenery and activity of traditional sulfur miners, back down to the Paltuding area and go back to your hotel or your driver will directly drop you off to Ketapang Harbour (if you continue to Bali)
The journey to Ketapang harbour is about one hour drive. But when your tour is finished in Surabaya, the journey from your hotel is about 5-6 hours drive. And when you reach at the agreement place (Surabaya/banywangi), the tour is completed.
